Fee structure transparency
Lake Park Advisors is a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor. Our compensation comes from advisory fees paid by our clients. We do not receive commissions or other compensation from the sale of mutual funds, annuities or other investment products.
Our fee schedule, how and when fees are billed, and any minimums are set out in Form ADV Part 2A. Advisory fees reduce the value of your account over time. In addition to our advisory fee, you may pay other costs, including custodian and brokerage transaction charges, fund or product expenses embedded in any funds held in your account, and taxes. Those costs are separate from our fee and are described in Form ADV Part 2A.
We believe that avoiding high-cost mutual fund expenses can be helpful for some clients. However, lower costs do not guarantee higher returns, and portfolios of individual securities carry their own risks, including concentration risk and loss of principal.
Our principals are also involved with an affiliated accounting practice in the same office. Conflicts of interest that may arise from this are described in Form ADV Part 2A.
Investment risk
Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. No investment strategy, including long-term holding, diversification or the use of stop-loss orders, can ensure a profit or protect against loss. Market conditions, company performance, interest rates, inflation and tax law changes can all affect results. Portfolios of individual securities may be less diversified than pooled investments.
